Then we can help you.

Do you remember hearing a story that captured your attention? Do you recall waiting to hear what happened next?

Wouldn’t it be impressive to tell a tale just like that in English?

Well, we have excellent news for you! In the B2+ Towards Advanced English course, that is just one of the things you will learn. How to tell an anecdote that comes to life.

In this 9-week course, however, you will learn more than just anecdotes.

You’ll be able to watch crime dramas and understand the specific language used. (Did you know that the word sentence is a verb used in crime dramas?)

You’ll learn British slang so you sound more natural.

You’ll learn B2+ grammar and use it.

Most importantly, you’ll have fun learning English so it doesn’t really feel like learning at all!

English Courses Online FAQs

English Courses Online offers a range of courses for non-native English speakers. Find out more below.

Are the classes only for adults?

Yes, you must be 18+ to join the classes. Most people are between 23 and 45 but all ages are welcome above 18.

How long are the courses?

Each course lasts 9 weeks. There are 2 classes per week for the 9 weeks.

How long is each class?

Each class lasts 1.5 hours. There are 2 classes per week for the entire course.

Which platforms are used for the courses?

Classes are held via Zoom and Google Classroom. The only things you need are a good internet connection, a laptop, phone or tablet and a gmail address.

Can I join only some of the classes?

The courses are sold as a complete course. You need to purchase a 9-week course but if you miss a class or two, that’s no problem.

What do I need for the classes?
  • A good internet connection
  • A device to learn on with a camera and microphone that work – a laptop is ideal but some students use their tablets or phones, but phones are quite small to see all the documents on
  • A gmail address to access Google Classroom. If you don’t have one, it’s really easy to set one up, just go to gmail.com
  • You need to be logged into your Google Chrome browser under your gmail address to access Google Classroom
  • A notebook and pen/pencil to write things down
  • A smile!
I don't know how to use Zoom.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a technical expert.

To join the class, you will be sent a Zoom link that you click to join. You might need to download the Zoom app on your PC or Mac, but you can also use the browser version.

We will send a link to a YouTube video on how to share your screen on Zoom.

We will explain anything else in the class.

Do I need to turn my camera on?

Yes, we want to see your lovely smile! Plus, it’s very strange for other students to be talking to someone they cannot see.

How many students are in each class?

8-10 students (if everyone comes to class!)

Can I go to the next level if I finish one level?

Many of our students have moved to the next level. However, it does depend on your level when you finish the course. Your teacher will advise you on the next steps.

I'm nervous because I won't know anyone.

Don’t worry! No one knows each other at first, but by the end of the first lesson, you will feel comfortable and by the end of the course, you’ll have new friends!

Who is my teacher?

All of our teachers are from the UK and each one has at least six years’ experience teaching general, business and academic English. Your teacher will be friendly and fun (we don’t hire boring ones!) and you will have the same teacher for your entire course.
