B2 Upper-Intermediate English Course
Next B2 Course Starts
February 10, 2025
Do you want to learn a little known technique to pass a job interview in English?
Would you like to be able to understand fast English?
Do you want to learn what you should and shouldn’t say in Britain?
Would you like to learn slang and idioms to use in your everyday life?
Then We can help you.
Have you ever been in a situation and thought, “Oh, wow! I thought I spoke decent English but I can’t understand anything these people are saying?”
Well, don’t worry. It’s all about learning how native speakers really talk. And that involves slang and idioms.
It also means listening to different accents (only 3 percent of British people speak with an RP accent like Benedict Cumberbatch). It also involves working out how to understand fast English.
And that is exactly what you will do in this course. Together in a small class, you’ll boost your grammar and vocabulary and realise that how native speakers talk is nothing like in your textbooks!
You’ll look at what to say in different situations, what Brits really mean when they say something and by the end of the 9-week course, you’ll feel far more confident.
So, if you’d like to sound more natural and understand native speakers, take a placement test and sign up today!
You can already: |
You want to: |
| Understand native speakers when they talk at an average speed about different issues | Feel confident in a job interview (and learn a technique that will dramatically increase your chances of getting the job) |
| Watch films / TV shows about familiar topics without English subtitles | Understand slang and use it (it’s how native speakers really talk) |
| Occasionally understand fast English, but not very often | Expand your vocabulary |
| Know some phrasal verbs but don’t use them very often | Use more idioms and phrasal verbs |
| Use an English dictionary to find out definitions of words instead of translating | Feel more confident when talking with native speakers or high-level learners |
| Know and use B1 grammar when speaking | Improve your grammar |

How long is each class?
Each class lasts 1.5 hours. There are 2 classes per week for the entire course.
Which platforms are used for the courses?
Classes are held via Zoom and Google Classroom. The only things you need are a good internet connection, a laptop, phone or tablet and a gmail address.
Can I join only some of the classes?
The courses are sold as a complete course. You need to purchase a 9-week course but if you miss a class or two, that’s no problem.
What do I need for the classes?
- A good internet connection
- A device to learn on with a camera and microphone that work – a laptop is ideal but some students use their tablets or phones, but phones are quite small to see all the documents on
- A gmail address to access Google Classroom. If you don’t have one, it’s really easy to set one up, just go to gmail.com
- You need to be logged into your Google Chrome browser under your gmail address to access Google Classroom
- A notebook and pen/pencil to write things down
- A smile!
I don't know how to use Zoom.
Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a technical expert.
To join the class, you will be sent a Zoom link that you click to join. You might need to download the Zoom app on your PC or Mac, but you can also use the browser version.
We will send a link to a YouTube video on how to share your screen on Zoom.
We will explain anything else in the class.
Do I need to turn my camera on?
Yes, we want to see your lovely smile! Plus, it’s very strange for other students to be talking to someone they cannot see.
How many students are in each class?
8-10 students (if everyone comes to class!)
Can I go to the next level if I finish one level?
Many of our students have moved to the next level. However, it does depend on your level when you finish the course. Your teacher will advise you on the next steps.
I'm nervous because I won't know anyone.
Don’t worry! No one knows each other at first, but by the end of the first lesson, you will feel comfortable and by the end of the course, you’ll have new friends!
Who is my teacher?
All of our teachers are from the UK and each one has at least six years’ experience teaching general, business and academic English. Your teacher will be friendly and fun (we don’t hire boring ones!) and you will have the same teacher for your entire course.
